Tshepo Mosidi, professionally known as Junior Taurus, is a South African DJ, music producer, songwriter, and sound engineer known for his contributions to house music, electronic music, and amapiano. Through his innovative production style and technical expertise, he has built a reputation as one of South Africa’s respected music creators.
Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Junior Taurus discovered his passion for music while growing up. Although he initially enrolled in a computer science and programming course, he later changed direction to study sound engineering at Damelin College in Centurion, where he obtained a diploma. This decision laid the foundation for his professional music career.
Junior Taurus began making a name for himself as a producer and engineer before achieving wider recognition through his collaboration with Lady Zamar. Together, they released the album “Cotton Candy” in 2015, which featured notable songs such as “Mamelodi,” “Run Away,” and “Pitori.” The project earned industry recognition and helped introduce their unique blend of house and dance music to a broader audience.
Beyond his work with Lady Zamar, Junior Taurus has collaborated with prominent artists including Focalistic, Cassper Nyovest, Lamiez Holworthy, Major League DJz, and Venom X Shishiliza. His projects “Back To Love” and “Until September” highlighted his artistic growth and versatility.
